Thoubal Multipurpose Water Transmission Project
The Water Resource Department (WRD), Govt. of Manipur, has commissioned the prestigious 'Thoubal Multipurpose Water Transmission Project' with 1000 mm diameter Ductile Iron K9 Pipes and Ductile iron Fittings supplied by Electrosteel. The total length of the pipeline is 16.4 kms, of which 3.2 kms is within a tunnel.
Such a large diameter DI pipeline installation inside a tunnel is considered to be a major engineering feat, and we are proud.
The blue-chip project was formally inaugurated by the Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 4th of January, 2022, who said on the occasion, "The North East, which Netaji called the gateway to India's independence, is becoming the gateway to fulfilling the dreams of a new India."
